I use the Slim Fast Smoothie Mix. The difference was 10 additional calories. But with Silk Soy Milk at 80 calories, it equals out. Anyway, if you like Chocolate and Banana or Vanilla and Banana, You will love this! Well at least I do. Sometimes I add a banana, if I have one, Oh, I do add ice, if I want to jazz it up a bit!But does this make a difference if I am trying to take off 25 pounds? My current weight is 161pds and I am 5.5. I know it doesn't sound much to some, but to me, it makes me feel very uncomfortable. And yes I am seeing a Therapist to deal with my self image issues.
I been using this for years and I add a banana with ice and NO milk. Sometimes I add 95% dark chocolate which is proven to be healthy. I run it in the blender and it comes out thick and tastes good. It's all preference. Add fruit to give it a good mix of taste and consistency if you prefer.
i normally substitute a slimfast or tru-protein shake for a meal, i usually have 1 scoop with 8oz skim milk and a cup of ice,along with a fruit like a banana put in the blender. I also use a 1/4 to 1/2 tspoon of tumeric power because its good for everything that ails you. look it up,, and a teaspoon of metacucil for fiber, drink it down and your on the way, after a while you loose craving for food and always kinda not too hungry, then i have a sensible meal and look forward to tomorrow,, good luck.
I have used a blender, a shaker, and even a milkshake blender. While the both blenders do end up with a slightly more creamy and airy end result, the shaker is plenty good. Really unless you are wanting to add ice or frozen fruit why dirty the blender AND a glass when you can just use a shaker.
